School is out and many of us have children at home for the summer. Let the fun begin! A fairy garden can add personality to your home and is a definite conversation starter. It can be made from items that you have on hand or have intentionally collected. Somehow, I cannot come home from a vacation or even a walk without my daughter collecting “cool rocks or shells”. Small sticks, petrified wood, a small birdhouse or a birdbath can create a fairyland for your child. You can always plant some sweet smelling herbs in your fairy garden. This is a fun way to encourage a child’s imagination and you can continually scout for additional elements. Create a bridge, cave, ladder, door, tree – our imagination knows no bounds!
